Mercyhurst Prep is embarking on a new fundraising adventure, MaxBack. MaxBack is a reinvention of the fundraising through recycling concept. It is a program where anyone can send in their used consumer electronics (cell phones, digital camera, GPS systems, MP3 players and video games) earning points to be redeemed for items in the MaxBack online rewards catalog.
How does MaxBack work?
When a person registers at MaxBack.com and completes the exchange they are awarded a point value for new products in MaxBack's online catalog. In the course of the exchange they will have the option to select and support MPS. After completion of the exchange, a 10% commission is awarded to the school. As long as they select Mercyhurst Preparatory School when they register, MPS will get that 10% credit. This credit doesn't take away from the participants's earnings; it's just an added benefit and is donated to MPS from MaxBack.
Will MaxBack cost me anything?
MaxBack is completely free. Nothing comes out of the pocket of the participant. MaxBack will pay for shipping, boxes, and the 10% commission for the selected school.
Is MaxBack a safe "for kids" online site?
MaxBack takes safety seriously. They will never share any information for use with third party distribution. MaxBack is C.O.P.P.A. (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) compliant and follows all age restricted use of the site as required by law. MaxBack encourages the interaction of the students with their parents to provide them with an environmentally responsible and profitable option for electronics disposal. MaxBack further protects the privacy of its users by destroying all the personal data on the electronic devices that they receive, using software that follows the Department of Defense guidelines.
We hope this is a program in which you would like to participate along with Mercyhurst Prep. Please vist the MaxBack site at www.maxback.com .
