2009’s fantastic community-building event brought in $25,125.00 toward MPS scholarships!
Thank you to everyone that helped make this possible!

BASKETS
Once again we had over 100 incredible theme baskets that we donated by parents, organizations, clubs, departments, businesses and friends.  Let’s put it this way, if everyone had just one ticket, you would have a one-in-four chance of winning!!  This is just one more reason why there was no better value, or place to be, than right here at MPS!  Special thanks to Rick & Paula Mielnik and Karen Cafferty for making it look easy!

GRAND RAFFLE FREE TUITION!
Congratulation go out to the Haverly family!  They were the grand prize winners of free tuition for one full year!

THANK YOU again to our wonderful chair couple, Mike and Lynne Elia.  Not only did they chair the event but Mike and Lynne also acted as our official emcees.

SILENT AUCTION
What a year for the ever popular silent auction.  This was by far our best with well over 70 items group into 58 marvelous packages and stand-alone pieces.  We also had the highly acclaimed STUDENT ARTWORK section which is always a crowd, and parent, favorite!  Many thanks to our wonderful donors, student artists and all that participated.  Special thanks to coordinator Sheila Coon, Julie Pecar, Marcia Gensheimer, Stacy Weber and faculty members Chris Bowler & Kathy Merski.

The Culinary Arts & Wine Institute – Mercyhurst College North East
Wow!  The college really outdid itself this year creating very festive and delicious culinary delights!  Director Beth Ann Sheldon and Chef Chip Magalhaes never disappoint as they directed talented students in preparation, presentation,  and even clean up!  We really value our relationship with the college and should never forget their generosity in supporting our efforts.  Special thanks to committee coordinator Michele Wheaton, who was invaluable as liaison, strengthening our partnership with the college team.  An added bonus, MPS graduates Jessica Quinn 07 and Dave Dubowski 05, were featured chefs of the night!

DECORATIONS
An awesome tip-o-the-hat to committee chair Judy Rosatti ‘80 and her artistic talents!  Never before has the event looked so good!  Also, thanks to Paula Dworakowski & Maria Potthoff for the staircase “waterfall” illusion!ADDITIONAL THANKS TO FRANK AMICUCCI & DEB KOOSER for their unselfish efforts and generous donation of time and works.
