1987  
Barb Filutze

Masters distance runner, former head cross country and assistant track coach.

1988
Ron Palombi, Jr. 
Bowling standout at MPS, went on to the Professional Bowlers Association.
1994
Ron Costello
The first head coach of the MPS football program.
1996
Kelly Erven-Maslar
Two-time tennis state champion, played collegiately at Penn State, member of 1986 girls’ basketball state championship team.
1999
Teresa Szumigala
Played on the 1991 girls’ basketball state championship team, scored 1,981 career points, Kodak All-American at Mercyhurst College, led team to Elite Eight her senior year.
2001
Angie Potthoff
Member of 1991 girls’ basketball state championship team, played at Penn State, three time All Big Ten first-team all-star, played in the WBL and WNBA, voted Erie area’s top Female Athlete of the Century.
2002
Bill Bengel
Former girls’ basketball coach, teams  won state championships in 1986 and 1991.
2004
Sue Heidt Koonmen

Played on 1986 state championship basketball team, leading scorer her senior year, standout at St. John Fisher College, Kodak All-American During junior and senior years, NCAA Division III player of the Year for 1989- 90 season.

2006
Craig Woodard

Outstanding football, basketball and track athlete at MPS.  Played on the ‘91 state championship team. Was first MPS athlete to play in the Save An Eye game. Had a stellar football career at  Mercyhurst College.

2007
Lisa Maxson Beery

All-Metro athlete in both basketball and volleyball.  Scored 1,239 career points in basketball; played on the 1986 state championship team. Named Honorable Mention All-State in basketball. Holds numerous basketball records at Mercyhurst College;  member of  Mercyhurst College Hall of Fame.

2007
Veronica M. Sansom

All-Metro standout in soccer, basketball and softball.  Led basketball team in scoring, steals and assists.  Led the Metro Soccer League in scoring and helped team win 1987 District 10 title.  D-II All- American in soccer at Mercyhurst College; leading scorer in the nation for D-II soccer in 1991.  Member of Mercyhurst College Hall of Fame.
