country, the college selection process can initially appear overwhelming!
Before you read all the junk mail ("We're the right college for
you!") or start into that 2,000 page college handbook, it is helpful to
first start with YOU!!! What are you looking for in a college? Think about
all the factors that go into a good college decision.

Which of these or other factors are most important
to you? Use these to imagine your Ideal University! (I want a school within
6 hours of home, around 5,000 students, in a big city, with a major in
psychology, a crew team and a ski club.)
Once you've done this, its time to use college
search programs, like
College Board, that will help you narrow down your college choices
based on your preferences.
