2019 MPS All-Class Reunion Weekend:  August 2 & 3

FRIDAY, AUGUST 2
9:45 a.m.–10:30 a.m. Tour of MPS
10:30 a.m.–11:15 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel (MPS)

Golden Anniversary Luncheon
Noon: Erie Yacht Club
1926–1969 graduates are our guests at this annual alumni lunch sponsored by Mercyhurst Prep and hosted by President Ed Curtin.

Other classes are welcome to attend. (There will be a fee.)

Alumni/Student Art Show at MPS FREE

SATURDAY, AUGUST 3

  • A Rowing Adventure on the Bay
  • Alumni Soccer game at MPS
  • A fun evening at the Bayfront Convention Center

All graduates and past and current faculty and staff are invited but must be 21 to attend.  Listen and dance to music by DJ Lisa Keating. Watch for more details.

Classes ending in “9” or “4”:  this is your reunion year! Plan to join us on August 3 at the Bayfront Convention Center.

Distinguished Alumni Award Nominations

Do you know an MPS graduate who has achieved significant career accomplishments or service milestones?  We are now accepting nominations for Distinguished Alumni Awards. Please take a moment to submit one or more nominations for noteworthy alumni. It’s really easy, and anyone in the MPS family can submit names.

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS SEPTEMBER 21, 2018. View a list of past recipients.

All nominations will be considered by our Alumni Board of Governors, and awardees will be honored at our 2019 Laker Legends Scholarship Gala on March 16, 2019.

Below are the MPS Alumni Association Awards and criteria:

Distinguished Alumni Awards [Career Award or Service Award] The nominees should be individuals who have achieved a high level of success in their careers or service and at the same time have been generous in support of Mercyhurst Preparatory School and community and/or have rendered exceptional volunteer service to the school, their workplace, or the community.

President’s Award
The nominees for this award, chosen by the Alumni Association President, should be individuals who have exhibited longtime dedication and unfailing support to Mercyhurst Preparatory School, its faculty, and its students.

Mercy Award
The nominees should be individuals who have demonstrated exemplary commitment to the Mercyhurst Preparatory School mission “to prepare students from all religious and ethnic backgrounds for a successful, productive, and compassionate life in an ever-changing and interdependent world.”

Young Alumni Award
The nominees should be individuals who exhibit leadership in their personal, professional, or volunteer accomplishments and also in their involvement with Mercyhurst Preparatory School. Alumni from the classes of 1999-2009 are eligible for the award.
