Please consider helping a rising MPS senior be part of a life-changing service project. Each summer, students from Mercyhurst Prep travel to Baltimore, Maryland to feed the hungry and care for the city’s underprivileged children under the auspices of Catholic Services. This trip has been beneficial to those being served, and incredibly meaningful for those serving. Indeed, a true ministry and partnership have grown from this unique opportunity.
Checks may be made payable to Anne Ryan Mission Fund and sent to Mercyhurst Prep c/o Paula Allshouse 538 E. Grandview Blvd. Erie, PA 16504. Or, you can donate online.
Anne Ryan, MPS ’06 participated in the mission trip before her senior year. It left an enduring impression on the wonderfully talented young woman. At the beginning of her sophomore year at the University of Pennsylvania, Anne contracted meningitis and sadly passed away. In the midst of their pain, the Ryan family graciously established a fund to assist others in their pursuit of the Baltimore Mission Trip. This has since been renamed the Anne Ryan Baltimore Mission Trip, and the hope is that it will continue into perpetuity, keeping Anne’s memory and this great experience alive.
Please consider a monetary gift to the Anne Ryan Baltimore Mission Trip fund to assist current and future students in their pursuit of serving others and sharing what Anne and so many students before and after her have experienced. The approximate cost for each participant is $250.00 which includes food and lodging, transportation to and from the work sights, an Anne Ryan Mission Trip memorial T-shirt, and a mission cross worn during the week and beyond. The students are asked to pay a part of this cost, an investment with very high returns. We invite you to share in this endeavor by either sponsoring a student(s) or a portion of the student’s cost. Any amount is appreciated. Your generosity will touch many lives as we continue to spread Mercy.
