Alex Schroeck to play for national championship

shroeckCongratulations to MPS junior Alex Schroeck who plays on the Western Pennsylvania Olympic Development Program soccer team which has qualified for the US Youth Soccer ODP National Championships.  The tournament is February 27 – March 1 in Phoenix, Arizona. Players must first qualify for the local Olympic Development Program team and then the team must win a regional tournament.

Only four teams from the entire country play in the tournament and Alex is the only player from Erie.  MPS Coach Doug Bakka proudly notes that Alex has been a star player for Mercyhurst Prep over the past three years and now has a great opportunity to play in a tournament where many college coaches will be scouting.
