Community Mural Project

The MPS Community Mural is a one-of-a-kind example of cross-generational art, connecting the Sisters of Mercy who founded the school in 1926 and hundreds of current students and alumni. Todd Scalise, an international artist, entrepreneur and 1991 Laker Alum, led the collection of 600 submissions and collaborated with students and faculty to design the powerful content represented in the 8,200 square foot mural. The mural project includes 177 – 8-foot panels and 24 themed pillars on the promenade between the two entrances of the building. The MPS Mural is being funded by generous donations from MPS families and businesses. There is still an opportunity for you to join us as a sponsor and have your family name or business on a pillar.
