Summer on the Hill
MPS offers a number of wonderful classes. These are two-week classes specifically designed for review and practice for the upcoming school year. We also offer a selection of term classes over the summer. Students take summer term classes for many reasons. The most common motivation is to clear the yearlong schedule for added classes in math, science, theatre, and arts. Many students also use this avenue to open their upper-class schedules to take advantage of college classes offered at Mercyhurst University. A few students have organized their schedules to become full-time college freshmen while they are still seniors in high school (SAM Program: see MPS handbook). Remediation of some subjects is available during the summer term. Interested students should discuss this possibility with their teachers and counselors.
