MPS Transportation Information

THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF ERIE

Transportation (via EMTA) will be provided for MPS students that reside in the City of Erie and live 2.0 miles or more from MPS. Students that are eligible must request transportation through the Erie City School District’s online registration system. Families should navigate to https://www.eriesd.org, then to “DEPARTMENTS,” and then to “TRANSPORTATION” from the drop-down menu. Then choose the https://eriepac.scriborder.com hyperlink and complete the following steps.

1) Choose Transportation Application (2021-2022 School Year).
2) New users must create an account.
3) Existing users can log into their previously created account.
4) Follow steps #1 and #2 to submit an application/request for transportation.

Please note a new request must be completed each school year. To avoid any delays in your application process, please utilize Google Maps, using the walking distance from home to school, to determine mileage eligibility. Once approved, the pass will be sent directly to the school for distribution to the student. Busing and routes may be different for the 2021-2022 school year than in previous years. High school students will utilize fixed routes that can be viewed on the EMTA website. Students are also encouraged to download the “MyStop” mobile app to plan routes and access schedule information. EMTA customer service representatives can be reached Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30 p.m., to also assist with which “fixed” routes(s) meet your needs.

Students will depart and board the EMTA bus at the bus shield near the student parking lot. MPS administration will be made aware of any changes or updates in health and safety protocols as they happen. Any immediate questions can be directed toward the office of Non-Instructional Support Services 814.874.6000.

NOTE: PARENTS SHOULD CALL THEIR BUSING DISTRICT AND REQUEST A COPY OF THE DISTRICT’S POLICY MANUAL. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE CALL MRS. DWORAKOWSKI at 814.824.2210. (REVISED May 2021)
